The Takeley Street Action Group (TSAG) has now formally submitted its objections to the proposed development at Land North of Taylor’s Farm.
These submissions are not casual or generic objections. They represent many months of sustained work, involving hundreds of volunteer hours from local residents, including individuals with professional expertise in planning, transport, environmental assessment, law, engineering and data analysis.
In addition to our in-house expertise, TSAG has instructed and worked closely with independent, specialist professional consultants, including:
- Transport planning specialists
- Noise and vibration consultants
- Environmental and technical advisers
- Planning and legal professionals
Each objection has been prepared following a detailed review of the applicant’s submissions, relevant planning policy, and technical evidence. Where we believe information is flawed, incomplete, misleading or internally inconsistent, this has been clearly evidenced and referenced.
Our objections cover, among other matters:
- Transport, highways safety and modelling assumptions
- Noise, vibration and operational impacts
- Landscape, visual and countryside harm
- Ecology, biodiversity and environmental risk
- Flood risk and drainage
- Legal and procedural concerns regarding the application process
TSAG represents local residents of Takeley and neighbouring towns and villages. We are not opposed to development in principle, but we are firmly opposed to inappropriate, unsustainable and harmful development that fails to meet planning policy, underestimates impacts, or places unacceptable burdens on existing communities.
We want to be absolutely clear:
TSAG is organised, evidence-led, and prepared to see this process through properly.
