As many of you know, the proposed development at Land North of Taylors Farm is exactly the kind of large-scale warehousing scheme that has caused concern not just in Takeley, but in communities across the country.
A new government petition has now been launched with the support of the Community Planning Alliance and other affected communities across the UK. The petition calls for changes to the National Planning Policy Framework so that large B8 warehouses, including 24/7 “megashed” operations, are not permitted within 500 metres of residential properties.
This is highly relevant to our campaign. Developments of this kind can bring serious impacts, including noise, air, light and traffic pollution, increased flood risk, and harm to the health and wellbeing of nearby residents.
Please take a moment to sign the petition here:
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/764882
We would also be very grateful if you could share it with family, friends and anyone else who may be willing to support it.
At 10,000 signatures the Government must respond, and at 100,000 signatures it may be considered for debate in Parliament.
Thank you again for your continued support.
